Today, RoadFish.com men’s lifestyle and finance magazine releases its 6 tips for staying healthy after TMZ’s announcement of Demi Moore’s hospitalization in Los Angeles for exhaustion and alleged substance abuse. RoadFish has 6 common sense tips to build your health before you can build your wealth.

According to TMZ, “Demi Moore was rushed to the hospital Monday night … and we’re told the issue is substance abuse.

Law enforcement tells us a 911 call was placed at 10:45 PM Monday night. Paramedics responded to Demi’s L.A. home and after assessing her for a half hour, she was transported to a local hospital.

Sources tell us she is being placed in a facility to “seek further professional assistance. Our sources say the treatment is for substance abuse.”

RoadFish’s mission is to provide helpful tips and tricks to live a better life. Their health tips include such topics as chiropractic, exercise, taking your vitamins, reducing stress and nail biting, eliminating toxic substances as drugs and alcohol.

Demi Moore’s representative told TMZ, “Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health. She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends.”

RoadFish’s editor is quoted as saying, “It sucks to hear that Demi is suffering from exhaustion. Now whether it is exhaustion or substance abuse, the bottom line is she isn’t taking care of herself. You don’t get exhaustion unless you aren’t sleeping, eating right, hydrating, exercising, and have your joints in working order. It is important to perform at your optimum level. Treat your body well. It will reward you.”

RoadFish.com takes no apologies in the way they tackle touchy topics and offer advice.

ThreatMetrix Report Reveals Fraudulent Transaction Activity on Desktop and Mobile for 2011 Holiday Season

ThreatMetrix Report Reveals Fraudulent Transaction Activity on Desktop and Mobile for 2011 Holiday Season

ThreatMetrix compiled data on the percentage of desktop and mobile transactions that were classified as risky — or potentially fraudulent — over the 2011 holiday season.

San Jose, CA (PRWEB) January 19, 2012

ThreatMetrix™, the fastest-growing provider of integrated cybercrime prevention solutions, announced today that it has released data on the percentage of desktop and mobile transactions that were classified as risky — or potentially fraudulent — over the 2011 holiday season.

Findings revealed that while desktop transactions were still more risky than mobile transactions on average, the risk level remained fairly consistent across devices during the month of December; there was a slight increase in fraudulent activity the days leading up to and following Christmas day. Data was gathered across the ThreatMetrix™ Global Network.

“Online commerce is becoming a preferred channel, as its convenience and oftentimes competitive pricing are appealing factors to today’s consumers,” said Alisdair Faulkner, chief products officer, ThreatMetrix. In fact, comScore reported that shoppers had spent almost $ 32 billion online for the holiday season during the first 32 days of the November and December 2011 holiday shopping season, which marks a 15% increase from a year ago. “As businesses continue to build a cross-channel presence, it’s essential they understand the inner workings of the fraud network to effectively prevent cybercrime.”

Faulkner added that today’s online fraudsters have evolved from individuals and small groups, to professional worldwide networks. In 2010, fraud-related e-commerce revenue loss in the U.S. and Canada totaled $ 2.7 billion, according to CyberSource’s 2011 Fraud Report, and those numbers are only expected to rise.

Given the 2011 fraud season of notable cybercrimes, ThreatMetrix compiled a “Circle of Fraud” overview for how fraudsters typically operate in various industries:

Banking: Fraudsters write software that can compromise bank accounts. The software intercepts user login sessions, enabling the hacker to transparently access the account funds.

Social Networking: Hackers purchase compromised scripts – containing false credentials – to register on social networking sites. Fake social profiles are auto-created using the compromised scripts. Using the fake profiles, hackers distribute spam emails containing viruses that infect the recipients’ device.

Domestic E-Commerce: Using stolen credentials from virus-infected computers, e-commerce hackers visit compromised online retailers and steals customers’ credit card information by using SQL injection attacks.

Online Gaming: Fraudsters verify the validity of stolen credit cards by sending out scripts to target gaming and gambling sites for the purchasing of virtual currencies. Once these virtual transactions are approved, the fraudster tests the stolen credit cards by using its available funds.

Global E-Commerce: Hackers located overseas tunnel through compromised computers and use stolen credit cards to place online orders. The websites don’t detect the invasion because the hacker’s IP address mirrors that of the compromised computer. These more advanced cybercriminals visit online hacker forums where they pursue information about the compromised devices that correspond to the stolen identities.

Third-Party: These individuals receive stolen goods and repackage them for fraudsters. They are sometimes unaware of their role in the “Circle of Fraud.”

For more information on how fraud networks typically operate, view the “Circle of Fraud” infographic or visit http://www.threatmetrix.com.

Firm Attorneys Selected to National Leadership Roles in DePuy Pinnacle Litigation

Firm Attorneys Selected to National Leadership Roles in DePuy Pinnacle Litigation

East Alton, IL (PRWEB) January 16, 2012

Simmons Browder Gianaris Angelides & Barnerd LLC Shareholder Trent Miracle, head of the law firm’s pharmaceutical litigation division, was selected Jan. 9 by a federal judge to serve on the Plaintiff Steering Committee for the multidistrict litigation involving the defective DePuy Pinnacle AcetabularCup System. Attorney Eric Johnson was also selected to serve on the discovery sub-committee for the national MDL. More than fifty(?) cases involving the defective hip replacement product were consolidated in August before U.S. District Judge James Kinkeade in the Northern District of Texas.

“It’s an honor to be selected to participate in such an important national role for the DePuy litigation,” Miracle said. “Judge Kinkeade appointed a very talented group of attorneys to spearhead the national efforts and I’m looking forward to working with them and helping bring these cases to a successful resolution for our clients.”

The DePuy Pinnacle System is a metal-on-metal hip implant, similar to the DePuy ASR Hip Replacement product, which was recalled in 2010 for a high failure rate. Both defective medical devices were manufactured by DePuy Orthopaedics, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson.

The Pinnacle hip replacement has been linked to reports of metal poisoning caused when the device components rub together and release metal shavings into the blood. This damages the bone and tissues surrounding the implant. Some studies have found that in some patients, high metal levels in the blood can cause additional illnesses elsewhere in the body including the heart, nervous system and thyroid gland.

As a result of the risks, the FDA has ordered DePuy Orthopaedics and other manufacturers of metal-on-metal hip implants to conduct additional research to find if the medical devices raises the level of metal in the blood to dangerous levels.

Miracle also serves on the discovery sub-committee for the DePuy ASR Hip replacement MDL. In 2009, he was appointed to the plantiffs’ steering committee in the Yaz and Yasmin birth control multidistrict litigation. Miracle has also worked on litigation against other defective medical devices and dangerous drugs including Vioxx, Bextra, Ortho Evra, Ephedra and Phenylpropanolamine, Oxycontin and others. This the first time Johnson has been selected to a leadership role in national litigation.

About Simmons Browder Gianaris Angelides & Barnerd LLC

The Simmons Firm is a leading law firm in pharmaceutical litigation. The Simmons Firm has experience in litigating complex medical matters and has taken a leadership role in standing up for individuals who have been injured by dangerous or defective drugs. The firm has represented thousands of pharmaceutical clients and recovered more than $ 230 million in verdicts and settlements in cases involving Oxycontin, Vioxx and more. Tips to Make Visitors Get Attracted to Our Exhibit Booths

In US, we can find about 2,500 trade shows every year. The event becomes a perfect even for companies because it can open the opportunities to grab new customers from various different backgrounds. Joining the trade show exhibition requires a lot of money, that’s for sure, but we can see the amount of money we spend as an investment because if we made a success on the trade show exhibition, we will be able to give positive feedback to our company.

One of the keys to successful trade show is excellent-designed trade show booth. The trade show displays and whole accessories should be planned perfectly, so it will attract the visitors and make them engaged to our business. When we want to rent a booth, then make sure to choose one on the right or left of the aisle. Remember that booth truss width is more important that depth because the longer our booth is, the longer the visitors step and attention to our booth.

For the grids, make sure that it is practical, strong and versatile. They are the major foundation of our booth look, so make sure to steal attention with the right grids. Flooring is also very important on trade show booth. Similar to the whole display, flooring becomes a foundation for the trade show booth. We are highly recommended to choose the white masonite floor than the regular one. White flooring might look standard, but it will emphasize the booth merchandise, banner, logo floor mats and others.

Light does matter on trade show booth. Don’t use the plain lighting, but play with it to create dramatic lighting. Many companies think that the light from the convention center is enough, but actually we need more. We should know that the lighting from trade show convention is mercury vapor light that gives unnatural bluish effect. We are recommended to use halogen lighting to balance it and serve focus to our booth.

The exhibit booths wall plays important role on emphasizing the merchandise and whole booth appearance. Make sure to play with colors and determine the right color that sells based on out company logo and the impression we want to make. Drapery wall is usually absorbing the light, so foam board can be a better alternative. It is also very cheap. We can also combine it with metal display grids. With those tips and tricks, we can make our trade show booth more attractive for the visitors. Always make a perfect preparation to build trade show booth because it is our investment for our company.

Listrak and CorraTech Partner to Help Retailers Drive eCommerce Sales

Listrak and CorraTech Partner to Help Retailers Drive eCommerce Sales

Lititz, PA (PRWEB) December 20, 2011

Listrak, a leading marketing solutions provider for online retailers and Magento Silver Partner, and CorraTech, a premier global commerce technology consultancy and Magento Gold Partner, joined forces to launch a new ecommerce store with fully integrated marketing solutions for Ten Thousand Villages, one of the world’s largest Fair Trade organizations.

With more than 70 retail outlets throughout the United States, Ten Thousand Villages provides a marketplace for artisans from all over the world. Available products include unique handmade gifts, jewelry, home decor, art, textiles, serveware and personal accessories representing the diverse cultures of craftspeople in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East.

As a non-profit with a large and loyal customer base, the company needed a robust ecommerce store and consistent communication across multiple channels and locations. Given the increasing importance of online sales to its overall business, Ten Thousand Villages decided to relaunch its ecommerce site onto an enterprise-level platform ahead of the 2011 holiday shopping season. They selected Magento as the platform and turned to CorraTech to implement the new store.

A Listrak client since 2010, Ten Thousand Villages had implemented various email marketing solutions including Customer Purchase Metrics and Shopping Cart Abandonment to target its customers and grow its ecommerce business. As part of the move to the new platform, it was vital to preserve and improve these successful email-marketing programs. As luck would have it, Listrak had recently developed a fully integrated Magento Extension. By working closely together, the combined CorraTech and Listrak teams were able to integrate Listrak’s services into the new site without a hitch.

In the wake of the successful launch of Ten Thousand Village’s new site, Listrak and CorraTech made the decision to formally partner. “Given how well we worked together on this first project, it made good sense for our firms to officially tie the knot,” said Michael Harvey, CorraTech COO. “We are now in a position to bring the combined solution to the ecommerce market at large.”

In addition to getting the Listrak’s Extension up and running with no disruption of service, CorraTech also made numerous customizations to Magento including expanding the capabilities of the native gift registry functionality, an important requirement for Ten Thousand Villages because of the large amount of sales made through registries. Also of note, CorraTech took advantage of Magento’s native multi-store capability to provide over 80 separate sites for Ten Thousand Village’s individual stores, all running on the same instance of the application. Physical Inventory on hand at these physical stores was integrated into the product availability displayed to online shoppers.

“Our focus is driving ecommerce revenue via automated email marketing solutions that increase conversions and customer value,” said Ross Kramer, Listrak CEO. “Given the capabilities and tight integration of our Magento Extension, and how well we work with CorraTech, I expect Ten Thousand Villages will be just the first of many successful launches.”

Nomadic State of Mind will be Showing off Their Goods in January

Nomadic State of Mind will be Showing off Their Goods in January

Fayetteville, NC (PRWEB) January 04, 2012

Nomadic State of Mind will be showing off their goods in January

For some 2012 marks the end of civilization, but Nomadic thinks the Mayans just ran out of room on the calendar, or hopes so at least.  So instead of digging out a cave to live in, they are continuing business as usual – or as unusual, as they may be. This month marks the beginning of trade show season for Nomadic State of Mind and they will be kicking it off in style at Surf Expo in Orlando, FL on January 12 through the 14th, followed by Outdoor Retailer in Salt Lake City, UT on January 19th through the 22nd.

Nomadic has been a regular exhibitor at Surf Expo for almost 10 years and is looking forward to another great year.  While they are there mostly for business the Nomadic team enjoys seeing the changing styles and exciting new toys that come along with the event.  Last year they particularly enjoyed the 80’s flashback skate competition featuring many icons of the skate world such as Tony Hawk and Christian Hosoi.  This year Nomadic will be showcasing their traditional rope sandals at booth 2937 along with a variety of new products for the spring season including a new sandal line, apparel, and jewelry.

Outdoor Retailer is a fairly new event for Nomadic State of Mind with only one previous appearance.  While Nomadic does not fit in with the traditional companies at the winter event, not too many people snowboard in sandals, Nomadic anticipates another successful year.  Many companies are still filling in their summer orders and Nomadic State of Mind’s unique products stand out to buyers looking for just that. This year they can be found at booth 6.

About Nomadic State of Mind

Nomadic State of Mind was founded (its a good thing Chris finally found it, he had been driving aimlessly around the planet for years- then he looked behind a tree and found Nomadic State of Mind) nearly ten years ago and is based in North Carolina.  Manufacturing takes place both in Florida and in Nicaragua where the company has helped support a small community for the past eight years.  Nomadic has always believed in positive contributions to the world around them is committed to remaining true to their roots.  For more information or additional art work please contact Chris Anderson or Shea McNally at 877-666-2376 or at nomadicstate.com.
