New Novel Explores Holistic Healing Ideas

New Novel Explores Holistic Healing Ideas

Bellmore, NY (PRWEB) May 10, 2012

After reading Louise L. Hay’s “You Can Heal Your Life,” Linda Amato embarked on a journey to change her life. She became a Reiki master, a holistic healer and a counselor. Hoping to pass on some of the insights she gained in her transformation, Amato delivers her new inspirational novel “Making Believers: Connect to the Light Within” (published by Balboa Press).

“Making Believers” is the story of Gracie and her daughter, Amanda. As a child, Gracie suffered abuse from her mother. Rather than breaking the cycle, Gracie repeated the pattern of abuse, inflicting the same pain on Amanda. But Amanda is blessed with the strength and belief that unconditional love is the key to helping others. Putting aside her own pain, Amanda becomes an ambassador for compassion and understanding, allowing her to come to terms with her traumatic past and her mother’s actions.

A holistic health counselor, Amato believes fear is the greatest of demons to people who suffered from physical or emotional abuse. This belief permeates through “Making Believers” and is a guiding principle in her life. “In learning all I could by reading Hay House authors and others, I was capable of transforming my life as a wife, mother of four children and caretaker of my dad who was alcoholic/manic-depressant for 30 years into a story of unconditional love.”

Amato applies her experience as a counselor to the characters in “Making Believers,” showing readers techniques for transforming their lives. She is steadfast in her conviction that all forms of abuse – alcohol, drugs, mental and physical – must stop immediately, and she hopes her book will help to lead the charge against these patterns.

About the Author

As a certified holistic health counselor, Reiki master and metaphysical practitioner, Linda Amato has been helping clients heal the spiritual and emotional scars of their past for seven years. She has cared for her father – who suffered from manic depression – for 30 years, and she formed many of her core beliefs about healing and transformation while working with him. Amato has been married for 40 years, and she is a devoted mother and grandmother. Bellmore, N.Y. has been her hometown for the past 24 years.

An Online Site Dedicated to Market and Sell Self-Published Books

An Online Site Dedicated to Market and Sell Self-Published Books

Patrick Cox

Birmingham, AL (PRWEB) July 22, 2011

Selfpublishedbookstore.com was founded in March, 2011.

http://selfpublishedbookstore.com, is a website that helps self-published authors market and sell their books. Many self-published authors are frustrated that they cannot sell their books. This site gives them a voice and an opportunity. We are dedicated to market and sell self-published books.

Before John Grisham became a famous novelist whose works have been read by millions, he struggled to get publishers interested in a book called “A Time to Kill.” He was rejected by 26 publishers and so he self-published. J.K. Rowling’s first Harry Potter book was rejected by nine publishers. Dr. Suess’s first book was rejected by 27 publishers. John Henry Toole committed suicide after many rejections, but his mother persevered and “A Confederacy of Dunces” was published and won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. Publishers make mistakes. Several best-sellers have started out on the self-publishing route, including “The Shack,” “What Color is Your Parachute?” and the initial “Chicken Soup for the Soul.”

One author is writing a series called “VerseryRhymes” that translates the New Testament verse by verse into rhyme. He has completed Matthew, Mark, John, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, James and Revelation.

Another author from Germany has written a three-part science fiction series.

One of our authors has already sold 51,000 copies of her self-published book “All We Like Sheep”.

From personal experience, we saw a need for a site to help self-published authors find a market for their books. Many self-publishing book companies will teach you the nuts and bolts of self-publishing, and print and sell your books through their website for a hefty percentage. What they won’t do is market your books or feature your books unless you pay a high fee. This site is a place to bring all self-published authors together to sell their books. We will feature each book at various times throughout the year. We will also market the books.

There are over 100 books and ebooks already on Selfpublishedbookstore.com. The books are being marketed in many ways on the web, through the social media and email. We also market with signs, cards, postcards, at book fairs and trade shows. Selfpublishedbookstore.com represents many wonderful authors. There are books in many genres.

Selfpublishedbookstore aims to be a community where author and customer can meet. Authors can list up to 10 different books for $ 20 per year (not $ 20.00 per book) and pay Selfpublishedbookstore.com 15 percent of sales. Selfpublishedbookstore.com is not a publishing company, but sells and markets such books for other authors.

Authors can sell their books on our site for whatever price they choose. While some self-published authors are discovered by large publishing companies, many of them are proud to be on their own and want to remain that way. “The Shack” is still self-published.

Self-published authors write good books that they believe in. They just need an avenue to get them to customers. That is where selfpublishedbookstore.com comes in.

We have been reaching out to self-published authors encouraging them to consider selling their books on the site. We have been promoting selfpublishedbookstore.com on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, social networking sites, the same sites will be used to market books for clients.

Since Selfpublishedbookstore.com started in March, it has had over, 14,000 visits and 183,000 hits from computer users in 22 countries.

Publisher Ad Network Offers Fixed Rate CPM for Web Publishers

Publisher Ad Network Offers Fixed Rate CPM for Web Publishers

Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) July 20, 2011

Publisher Ad Network (PAN) — a fast-growing, global online advertising network — has unveiled a low-risk, fixed-rate model for publishers. Unlike advertising networks that offer revenue share and other variable rate solutions, PAN allows Web publishers to collect a fixed rate based on the amount of traffic to their site.

Online publishers who collect revenue based on a cost per thousand impressions (CPM) model have a major challenge in monetizing traffic and lining up advertisers. The current trend with most ad networks is to pay a variable rate based on the number of clicks or number of conversions an ad placement gets. This leads to an unpredictable monthly payout.

PAN locks in a CPM rate for a publisher’s entire inventory, stabilizing expected profits. This protects the publisher from rate variability and allows total returns to be projected. It is an important part of the company’s commitment to lowering publisher risk.

“A fixed CPM approach creates a win-win scenario for publishers and advertisers,” said Patrick Hare, senior optimization manager at PublisherAdNetwork.com. “For publishers, we take the risk of unfilled inventory out of the equation. At the same time, advertisers can lock in exposure without having to constantly bid on ad placements.”

PAN’s intelligent approach creates a revenue model for site publishers, which aims to maximize the profitability of their Web presence.
